Mechanica Torque multipliers are torque tools designed for achieving high torque levels on any bolted connections — our TYP series allows for torque values of up to 12,000 Nm. Their main advantage lies in the gear ratio, which is specifically matched to each model. This ensures the ability to achieve very high output torque with minimal input force, along with a high level of accuracy at ±2%. All TYP models are equiped with overtorque protection mechanism!
TYP Series Torque Multipliers
The TYP series torque multipliers are mechanical torque tools powered by standard hand torque
wrenches. Thanks to a specially calculated gear ratio for each model, users can generate high
tightening torques using a relatively small torque wrench.
A key advantage of the TYP series multipliers is their built-in overload protection system. This feature
safeguards the gearbox from damage caused by excessive input torque, making the TYP multipliers
exceptionally durable and long-lasting (unlike cheaper models without such protection, which can be
permanently damaged by applying excesive input torque) If an excessive input torque is applied, then the
pin in protection mechanism is sheared off. It must then be removed from the socket located directly
under input adapter and replaced. Each new tool comes with two spare protection pins, and additional
ones can be purchased from us at any time.
Each TYP torque multiplier is supplied with a factory calibration certificate confirming an accuracy level
of ±2%, as well as a torque table - which shows input values and their corresponding output torque
values.
TYP series multipliers are likely the most accurate tools of their kind currently available on the market.
